5 Last Minute Halloween Costumes for Kids

Time flies by, especially when you’ve got a little one at home, so holidays come along before you know it. In the blink of an eye, we’re suddenly at the end of October, and Halloween is upon us.

Don’t panic - we’ve put together a list of easy, last-minute haloween costume ideas for your child to get you ready for trick-or-treating!

Trust us, it’s amazing what you can do with a piece of cardboard, some tape, and a hot glue gun.

Sheep costume:

If you’re looking for a more ewe-nique costume, dress your little one up as an adorable sheep. 

Instructions: Take a small black hoodie and hot glue cotton balls all over the front, back, and hood. Pair it with some black trousers and some black make-up for the nose to fully transform them!

Bunch of Grapes costume:

Almost any supermarket is sure to have a selection of balloons. Not only are these a hit with kids, but a selection of green or purple balloons also make for a super fun grape costume!

Instructions: Blow up each balloon and hot glue them to an old t-shirt, and don’t forget to add some paper leaves on top of your baby’s head for the stem.

Prisoner costume:

Get creative with this quick DIY prisoner costume, consisting of a white outfit and some black tape.

Instructions: Take multiple pieces of black tape and stick them across the outfit horizontally. Alternatively, you can draw the lines on with a thick, black pen.

Skeleton costume:

Prepare for a night of trick-or-treating with this last-minute take on a classic halloween costume.

Instructions: Using white tape on a black outfit, create the outline of a ribcage, leg bones and arm bones to make a skeleton.

Black Cat costume:

A Halloween staple - black cats are an easy choice for some spooky fun! 

Instructions: For the ears, cut out some black felt triangles and hot glue them to a hairband. The tail is even easier - stuff a long black sock or tights and attach it at the back. Add some super simple whiskers and a black nose with make-up and you’re ready to go.
